Flamingo Spotting
Earlier this month we spent a weekend on the Baltimore waterfront at the CASE DII "New Directions" conference. As we have before, we assisted CASE in preparing for the conference, volunteering our time and talent to create the conference brand and program. It was great to see the event underway and the brand being used on everything from banners and slide presentations, to labels on Tic Tacs and gift bags.
You may be aware of Baltimore's connection to pink flamingos, reinforced in no small part by the films of native Baltimorean John Waters, but did you know they were created here in Massachusetts? When our flamingo-themed option for the CASE conference identity didn't survive the initial design review, we recognized a branding opportunity for ourselves.
Enter: our spotted flamingo.
Many of our clients come to us for brand building at a fundamental level. We develop messaging as well as graphic standards that differentiate them from their peers and competitors, plus build their brand value. Our booth and marketing materials at the Baltimore conference featured the image above. When you hang out in a colorful crowd, brand differentiation makes all the difference.
