Much More Than Nice
Susquehanna University, a small liberal arts college in rural Pennsylvania, lacked name recognition. Those who had heard of the school perceived it as a “nice” place to study, rather than as a university that offers challenging academic and professional opportunities. Lack of a defined brand was part of their recognition problem.
Studio-e was hired to assist with increasing Susquehanna brand recognition. We began by creating core brand messaging and a clearly defined graphic brand that included a university wordmark, typography palette, and a bold color palette—featuring orange in the role of primary brand color—allowing their brand to stand out among their competitors. Following the success of this identity and branding work, Studio-e redesigned the school's admissions publications and alumni magazine.
